NATS REGISTRATION FOR ESTABLISHMENT

Registration for establishments on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal allows businesses to recruit apprentices, align with government skilling initiatives, and receive financial support. 

Registration process for establishments

  1. Visit the NATS portal. Navigate to the establishment registration page.
  2. Start registration. Click the "Register" button and select "Establishment" as the user type.
  3. Complete the eligibility check. Answer questions regarding your establishment's size, sector, and whether you want to register for reimbursement.
  4. Fill out the registration form. Provide detailed information, including:
    • Establishment details: Name, year of establishment, PAN/TAN, Udyog Aadhaar number, and address.
    • Head of establishment details: Name, designation, and contact information.
    • Contact person details: Name, email ID, and mobile number. This will be the login ID and is used for all communication.
  5. Set up login credentials. Create a password for your account. You will be able to log in with your email ID and the password you create.
  6. Provide manpower and infrastructure details. Fill in information about your current manpower and the infrastructure available for training.
  7. Upload documents. Submit the required documents in the specified format.
  8. Submit the form. Once you have filled in all the details and uploaded the necessary documents, click "Submit." An email confirmation will be sent.
  9. Complete the profile. After registration, log back into the portal to complete your profile. This involves detailing your infrastructure, adding sub-locations if any, and specifying your apprentice requirements.
  10. Await approval. The profile will be submitted to the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) or Board of Practical Training (BOPT) for review and approval. 

Documents required

You will need to upload soft copies of the following: 

  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • PAN/TAN
  • Latest Income Tax Return (ITR)
  • Structured Training Module
  • Brief company profile
  • Company Logo
  • Canceled check from the company's bank account 

Eligibility criteria

  • Establishments of all sizes (Micro, Small, Medium, and Large) can register.
  • The establishment must have the necessary infrastructure and a training module to impart practical training to apprentices.
  • Businesses with 4 to 29 employees can register under the scheme, while those with 30 or more employees must register.
  • An internal complaints committee regarding sexual harassment is also required.
