Training Centre (TC) accreditation is the formal process of certifying a training facility under the Skill India Mission. It ensures that the center's infrastructure, trainers, and training delivery align with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and the quality standards set by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and relevant Sector Skill Councils (SSCs).
The step-by-step registration process
- Training Provider (TP) registration: Before registering a TC, your parent organization must first complete its registration as a Training Provider on the official Skill India Digital (SID) portal.
- Submit Centre Accreditation Application Form (CAAF): Once your TP registration is complete, you will submit the CAAF for the specific training center. This is a self-assessment form that includes detailed information about your infrastructure, trainers, and the job roles you plan to offer.
- Desktop assessment: An independent inspection agency will review all the documents, photographs, and information you submitted through the CAAF. You will receive a "Letter of Registration" upon successful completion of this phase.
- Physical inspection: Once the center is empanelled under a specific government scheme, a physical inspection is typically conducted by an independent agency to verify the center's facilities, equipment, and compliance with safety standards.
- SSC accreditation and affiliation: The relevant Sector Skill Council will review the inspection report and accord the center accreditation. The center will then receive its official accreditation certificate and be affiliated to run NSQF-aligned job roles.
- Continuous monitoring and renewal: Accredited centers are subject to periodic monitoring and must adhere to all SSC guidelines to maintain their status. Accreditation is typically valid for a few years and must be renewed before expiry.
Key eligibility and document requirements
- Organizational documents: Registration certificate of your organization (as a company, society, or trust), PAN card, and GST registration certificate.
- Infrastructure documents: Proof of ownership or a lease agreement for the training center premises, an approved building layout plan, and a Fire & Safety Compliance Certificate.
- Trainer and staff documents: Qualification certificates, experience certificates, and certified ToT/ToA status for your trainers.
- Financial documents: Audited financial statements and IT returns for the last 2-3 years to demonstrate financial stability.
- Compliance and legal documents: An affidavit confirming that your organization has not been blacklisted by any government agencies.
